damn this day. (well, technically yesterday, because I'm experiencing yet another insomnia bout. but you get my point.)

i found out that one of my closest friends suffered a terrible loss, and the second i read her news in our choppy FB chat, i felt like i got hit by a bus. don't you just hate it when that happens? you feel the air sucked out from you, you need to sit down, and the world goes in fast and slow motion simultaneously while you're rooted in your spot.
